Terms & Conditions

It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that all possible steps are taken to avoid injury or damage to the equipment. Please ensure that you agree to all of the following before booking your inflatable:

1. Each inflatable has its own age/height restrictions. Please ensure that no one over the specified age of the inflatable or who is taller than the inflatables walls is allowed to use it. Ages can be found in the specification section of each product. Failure to stick to this can cause injury or damage to the hired product. The cost of repair will be levied onto the hirer.
2. Climbing, hanging or sitting on the walls of an inflatable must not be allowed in order to avoid injury.
3. Do NOT allow anyone to bounce on the front step of any inflatable as they can easily fall off. This area is only to help people get on or off the product.
4. Do not allow users to be on the unit during inflation and deflation.
5. Do not bounce at the top of slides, slide down head first, slide into people or jump from the top of slides.
6. No food or drinks are to be consumed on hired products – especially inflatables as they are choking hazards and can cause mess.
7. All shoes, badges, jewellery and other sharp objects must be removed before using the inflatable. It is recommended that spectacles are also removed before use.
8. No smoking or open flames near any hire equipment.
9. A responsible adult must supervise the inflatable at all times
10. Ensure that no one with a history of back or neck problems is allowed to use the inflatable.
11. Ensure the inflatable is not overcrowded and limit the numbers depending on the age and size of users. If children are colliding into each other then the inflatable is too crowded.
12. Try to avoid large and small children using the inflatable at the same time to reduce the risk of injury. Some children require strict supervision.
13. If the inflatable is not being used for an extended period of time during the day, please switch off the power supply to avoid energy being wasted.
14. In the event of heavy rain, it is strongly recommended that the inflatable is switched off. Any wetness can be dried off with a towel or similar item. Please cover the blowers to avoid rainwater being sucked into the blower and then into the inflatable. Failure to do this that results in damage to any hired product will be charged accordingly.
15. Ensure the vent at the side of the blower is kept clear at all times unless switched off to avoid getting wet.
16. In the event that the blower stops working, please ensure all users get off the inflatable immediately. The blower has a safety reset button, try pressing this, also check the fuses and make sure the blower tube or deflation tube has not come undone or something has not blown onto and is obstructing the blower. In the event that it overheats, or loses power, switch the blower off at the mains, then switch it back on again 1 or 2 minutes later, and it should restart. If it does not, inform us straight away.

General Hire information
1. Spire Castles is covered by public liability insurance for your peace of mind. As owners of the equipment, this covers negligence on our part as suppliers. Operation and management of inflatables during the hire period is the responsibility of the hire persons.
2. Spire Castles must be the ones to deliver and set up any hired equipment in order to validate the insurance. If you move the inflatable when one of the team is not there it may become unsafe and the insurance is invalidated.
3. All measurements of our equipment can be found online. Please check that the inflatable you hire will fit in your planned space. This includes height. If unsure ring up and check. If there is not sufficient room to set up your chosen inflatable when we arrive, full payment will be required and no refunds will be given.
4. All surfaces need to be clear and level. Inflatables can be erect on grass, concrete, paving and indoors as long as there are no obstructions (including trees and low overhangs etc) or any sharp objects that may damage the hired product. Any damages will be charged to the hirer.
5. Surfaces must also be clean and free of faeces or excessive dirt. If either of these are found once the inflatable has been set up/collected, you will be charged a cleaning fee of £20.
6. If you have any narrow doorways/alleys, please let us know as some of the inflatables are large even when rolled up and may not fit through anything smaller than a standard doorway. Failure to notify us about this, resulting in your chosen inflatable not fitting through a door when we arrive, will require full payment and no refunds will be given.
7. If you have hired a ball pit or had balls put inside another inflatable such as the moon walk or tots castle, please clean them up before collection. If we have to re-bag the balls, then a fine of £25 per bag will be made as we can fall behind schedule.

In the event of bad weather
The inflatables are waterproof and our electrical items are equipped with circuit breakers, therefore they can function in light drizzle and showers. However, we will not supply inflatables to outdoor events in heavy rain.
If winds on the day are over 20mph and your inflatable is going to be outside, we will have to cancel the hire due to health and safety reasons.
If Spire Castles deems it unsafe to send out an inflatable on your day of hire due to bad weather conditions, there will be no cancellation fee and any deposits will be refunded as this would have been our choice.

If your chosen hire equipment comes to a price of £100 or over, then a deposit of 20% will be required to secure your hire. On the day you will only be required to pay the remaining 80%. Hirers under £100 do not require a deposit and the full price will be paid on the day, unless you have already discussed payment with us.

If your hired equipment comes to under £100 then there is no cancellation fee if you cancel at any time. If your hired equipment comes to £100 or over and you have paid your deposit, then cancellation is free up to 7 days before the booked date and your deposit will be refunded. If you cancel with less than a weeks' notice, then your deposit will not be refunded.

Payments will usually be collected on the day in either cash or cheque. Bank transfer, PayPal or payments from Credit / Debit Card via the PayPal gateway can be made via the website.

Delivery and collection
When booking we will organise times for your inflatable to be delivered and collected. Please remember that the team need at least 20 mins to set/pack up depending on how much you have hired.
Latest collection is at 6pm. Collection later than this can be arranged but will incur a late charge of £20.

Late bookings
If you book with short notice (1 week or less), then we reserve the right to cancel your booking if it does not fit in with the pre-planned route for that day. We will try to honour all bookings that we receive if we can work them around the schedule.

When used correctly the sumo suits, bouncy boxing and gladiator joust can be hilarious fun, but if used incorrectly they represent a serious risk of injury or even death to anybody using them. Make sure all the protection supplied is being worn and that there is always plenty of space surrounding these challenges. You are fully responsible as the hirer for both the equipment and the participant, if it isn't supervised for any amount of time then it should be shut down and no one allowed to use it until it can be supervised again. Ensure there is adequate First Aid equipment available before using the equipment just in case of injury. Remember, these are hired for fun, do not be overly aggressive or enthusiastic, hitting somebody excessively hard or body slamming them is not advised, this won't improve your experience using them but may hurt somebody quite seriously. The idea of the game is to force your opponent onto the floor or out of the circle, not to beat or crush them as hard as you can.
Your safety is paramount, in order for you to get the most fun and enjoyment from our equipment please observe these instructions. If there is anything you don't understand or are unsure of, please don't hesitate to ask.

Extras to think about
1. If you have hired one of our 'Disco Domes', please be considerate about noise and light to neighbours and surrounding areas.
2. The 'Disco Dome' has a light inside that flashes and may cause problems with some people. Before hiring make sure that no users have epilepsy and if they do let us know in advance so we can avoid any harm.

The person/organisation hiring the equipment will be responsible/liable for any damage or injury occurring from or as a result of misuse or reckless use. All damages will be invoiced and need to be paid for in full within 7 working days the above terms are final.
These guidelines are for the safety of all people using this equipment, and it is the sole responsibility of the hirer to ensure they are adhered to. Providing that the hired equipment is used in accordance to the above guidelines and conditions of hire users should be safe. However, accidents can happen. Spire Castles cannot accept any responsibility for any injury caused to anyone using this equipment in the absence of negligence on our behalf. Accordingly, it is strongly recommended that the hirer has adequate public liability insurance covering their liability arising from the use of the inflatable.
